Helping Others, From My Point Of View

Keep Dreamin'! Never before have I found it so easy to talk to people about network marketing. It's not that XanGo's changed, or I've changed, it is that we have a solution for a problem that many more people have these days. I don't know if you've ever heard the saying, (something like this)... 'if you want to become wealthy, find a need and fill it'. Forget the wealth stuff for right now (because that is about YOU), let's talk about helping people (make it about THEM). You can be a blessing, an answer to a prayer, to someone who has just lost their job, is about to lose their home, or needs financing for their child's college education. YOU HAVE A SOLUTION!

If you do not fully understand the jewel you have in your hand, and the opportunity to give to others, you may want to call your 100K and ask them how XanGo has changed their life. No magic. . . just plain ole' diligent work. So, when the belief is there, and you have your dream... now what? MAKE IT HAPPEN. Failure is not an option. You've developed a strong work ethic, and you realize that sitting on the fence isn't getting you anywhere, nor anyone else. Even though you think you are not making a decision, you are, whether it's to move forward or to stay behind. The cool thing about the business is that people in your downline tell you whether they want to better their life by their actions. When they start making it about THE PROSPECT and not about themselves, then you know they are doing the ACTION it takes to fulfill their DREAMS. I will bend over backwards to help those that are helping others.

Prospecting is the lifeblood of what we do. If you are not sure what to say, there is plenty of ways to learn. XGoPro, Upline, other distributors, are just a few ways of learning. I like to make it as simple as possible (then anyone! can do it!). Remember our MALL SAILING? Heck, how easy was that . . . go to the mall 'shopping' and simply ask people in the stores if they keep their options open for more money. Then hand them a card or brochure. Does it work? Well, as Allstate Insurance Company? Or hand a person a CD. Does that work? Ask AOL? No matter what you say, or what you give out, it starts with talking to people. You may have talked to people in the past you want to revisit. As Kim Klaver says in her training, this opportunity may be in their radar screen now.

When Sasha and I did an EXPO the other day which included many MLM companies, it was profound how many of the distributors compared themselves to XanGo. Ha! We weren't comparing ourselves to anyone. We knew we were with the Industry Leader. I chuckled to myself when one woman compared their comp plan to XanGo's and then didn't know anything in detail about their comp plan. Sasha and I approached the EXPO differently than did most all of the other exhibitors. We didn't pour juice, we didn't sample Glimpse, we didn't even have product information at the table, we talked to people about their DREAMS, their FINANCIAL SITUATION, and what THEY WERE LOOKING FOR in a business. Walking away confidently knowing we had set ourselves apart from the others, and were leading the pack in qualified prospects. Yesterday we began following-up calls and have more throughout the week. We are looking for people that want to

  1. Better their health,
  2. Better their finances, and
  3. Will take the action to do so.

And we told people so. Now, we've qualified what we are looking for and can concentrate on them. What are they looking for? What amount of money would make a difference in their lives? What are their DREAMS! If they chose to say 'no' to the business, that's OK... they will walk away having a positive encounter about network marketing and how professional it is to own this type of business. RAISE THE BAR. We're building with TRUST and INTEGRITY.

What you do today will determine your harvest. Keep your dream alive! Recognize the INCREDIBLE business you have to give to others. Today, I choose to take action, make it about them and provide for people this incredible, yes! INCREDIBLE opportunity to change people's lives for the better. Let them see your heart by listening to their needs.

Accountability

Who better to be accountable to than our selves.

If you want to be the CEO of your own life, owning your own business is a great way to do so. By taking responsibility for our own actions we become accountable. Nurturing a business and watching it grow can be most rewarding. Take your life back. Become the CEO of your life. Be accountable to yourself.

D E S I R E

Network Marketing is no different than any other business. It all starts with the DESIRE.

Because this is business is about people helping people, we are accountable by what we do, not just about what we say.

If I start with the premies that my DESIRE is to help others, and work my goal around that desire, I can devise a game plan to help as many people as I can. If my DESIRE is to earn an income, than my goal can be be based on income production. I can plan accordingly the steps needed to do just that.

So it's important to start with DESIRE. Build from what's on the inside.

What Skills Do I Need?

Skills and Techniques

Prospecting
Inviting
Presenting
Handling objections
Closing and signing
Training
Coaching
Supporting
Tracking performance

Talking to people, presenting information, and closing can be done by working a system. We simply take advantage of the tools like websites or CD's to simplify the process. Making it easy to duplicate will build large organizations and therefore, make you more money.

Learning the art of approaching, the discipline of following-up and helping the prospect to the next step by collecting a decision, whether this is right for them, they need more information or they'd like you to call them at a later date. These skills, prospecting, inviting, presenting, handling objectives and closing the deal, are five necessary skills needed to build your business. Even the best recruiter, will be working on one or more of these skills, always trying to improve.

Training, coaching, supporting and tracking performance is how to duplicate. This is something we do as a team.

All these major skills are needed to build large organizations. Working on them one-by-one can improve your business and help you to duplicate.

In-Line

In this business, the most important thing to remember is that it is YOUR BUSINESS.

"It's not about your upline, it is not about your downline, nor your sideline; it's about your IN-line". How are you growing your business? How are you personally growing? What are you doing to move your business forward? This is a business about working on personal goals, personal relationships and what counts is what's INSIDE your head and your heart.

Motivation

Earning income is generally the first motivation in looking for the right home-based business. However, it's not always what keeps us on track to working towards that income. Personal development, relationships, and knowing your WHY can be the fuel generating energy to produce profits.

Not wanting to work a job where others control your time, or where you have no control over where you place your energy can be a primary motivator for working on a part time basis. Looking to gain control of your financial life, and where you spend your time in the future can be as simple as starting your own business. This may be the extra step needed to free you from the rat race of a mundane life.

Learning and improving emotional intelligent skills, developing relationships with people you partner with, and building income for the future are all key motivators for owning a network marketing business.

Million Dollar Women

Finding the right opportunity requires thinking differently than the mainstream. Consider that there are 950,000 women making six figures, according to the 2002 census. From this figure, the New York Times reported May 12, 2002, 3,253 women earning $1 million or more.

There will always be people finding opportunities to prosper, no matter how tough the times are.

A Little Help Can Go A Long Ways

Turn on the news, read the paper, watch the economic forecasts and you will notice a trend that is concerning to many. Why not lay the foundation for additional income for your family's wealth by owning your own company? Network marketing is a way for anyone to invest in themselves, adding income for today and for the future. For a small investment, and a little bit of elbow grease the benefits can be enough to secure income for the future, whether the economic trend is up or down.

There is no better time than today to start thinking about tomorrow.

We're Just Getting Paid For It

Network marketing is simply recommending and promoting the value of a product or service, and then getting paid for doing so. Some people do this service without getting paid, we promote knowing we will get paid.

Just yesterday, I received a coupon in the mail from a retailer, suggesting I get a bonus check of $25.00 if I refer a friend to the service. Isn't that the same concept? Of course. Simply by referring others to use a product we get paid. And from there we build a business by helping others to do the same. Keeping this business simple, referring others, and teaching them to do the same is the basic concept of what we do. All our lives we have done this very thing and yet, not been paid, (i.e. telling someone about a good movie, a good restaurant, an orthodontist who solved your child's dental problem, or even a good stain remover you recently used); in this business we simply are paid for telling others.
