Failure and Disappointments
I received an email about failure and disappointment from a leader I admire, and was going to pass it on, but then thought, "Why do that! Keep your eye on the ball; stay positive." We've all had times we've been disappointed in this business. The key is to pick ourselves up, brush off the knees, steady our balance and step forward. I know that failures come to all of us, 1K, 5K, Premiers and above, but the discipline to move forward in a positive way is the action that will take us past the disappointments, moving us towards our goals.
Keep your eye on the prize. Lean forward with positive anticipation. Stepping forward with action daily is what moves us and our people in the direction of earning income, now and in the long run. Run with the runners. Find people that want to run with you. If you find someone that just wants to walk, don't be disappointed, simply walk with them, but don't let them set your pace. There are runners to be found.
My prize is _______________________________.
I want it by this date: _________________________.
To get there I will do this: ___________________________________. And this ________________.
I have these people to help me get there: _____________________________________.
This is my reward: _______________________________________.
I am thankful for this opportunity to daily share with others this great opportunity.
I will diligently work towards MY PRIZE.
Together We Build is a group of leaders recognizing that sometimes it's easier to get up after a disappointment if you have a little help. We help each other stay positive, leaning forward all together. We welcome all runners, walkers and even stoppers.

"Your brain is the most powerful, versatile computer on the planet. Touch your forehead and say to yourself, "This is the most powerful computer on the planet!" Your powerful computer brain is activated and energized by asking powerful questions. If you constantly ask yourself, "Why am I so bad with money?" (Why is my business not growing?) your brain will oblige by giving you a host of reasons. If you ask yourself instead, "How can I get better at handling my money (business) and make it grow?" ("How can I prosper better in my business?") your brain will also help you uncover solutions. As Jean Houston, co-director of the Foundation for Mind Research, has said, "The primary purpose of your brain is to do exactly what you tell it to do." If you ask yourself disempowering questions, you will receive answers that reinforce your sense of powerlessness. If you ask yourself empowering questions, you will get powerful answers."

The Winning Game
I'm pretty flexible with my business, allowing the distributors I've sponsored to work the way they want to work. It suits me just fine to help one that just wants to drink the juice to the one that wants to build an empire , as long as he/she knows I'm here to help them with whatever their intention is as a XanGo distributor. This I have found allows them to be the CEO of their business. After all, who needs more pressure in today's world. I do feel it is my responsibility, however, to let people know there IS an opportunity for them within this group and within this company to make money. For those that choose to look at it as "pressure", perhaps, do not see the forest for the tree standing in front of them. If you are coming from your heart in looking to help them, they'll realize that.
This was a very serious situation on Wall Street this week. We can be assured that the United States was in jeopardy of having the financial world on the brink of collapse. What would that mean to the consumer? Bottom line, food, clothing, shelter, (the basics) would be hard to come by if the stores could not borrow money to operate. And what does this have to do with our XanGo business? Well, we have an opportunity to share with people how they can take back control of their lives, to do something about their finances and how they can be proactive in taking care of their health. Wow!
We are helping people in two of the most important areas of their lives. One, their health. We all know the worth of being healthy. To do something to help ourselves and others in this area is of service to the betterment of man. We spend the most dollars in health care of any nation and yet, are far from the top in being the most healthy people. We can offer a product which contributes to good health. Isn't it our responsibility to share it?
Secondly, when it comes to money, we can offer a solution to helping people put a few extra dollars in their pocket. For some, it could be the money to keep their home, to provide their children with activities, to stash extra dollars away for retirement or even help pay for that health insurance that has skyrocketed in cost. Isn't this a service we are providing to help in the area of finances? Of course.
Many of us are growing in our business, personally and financially. Someone once said, "The mighty oak was once a little nut that held its ground." Stand tall, ' fellow distributor', we have much to offer. We have stated our intentions, now recognize the power of the profit motive. You will not have financial success unless you decide that's what you want. Live consciously in the realm of possibilities.
In the book, "Secrets of Six-Figure Women" (one of my today's favorites), Chapter 6 discusses the strategy of GETTING IN THE GAME. Because of the serious nature of people's finances, and the opportunity we have in front of us with this incredible company, I want to share from this book. These are the Rules outlined in Chapter 6, Strategy #3: Get In The Game: (and I quote)
People who play Not To Lose have one intention - to play it safe. No matter how much they say they want success,if they're playing Not To Lose, what they're really after is comfort, convenience, and relief. ...
The desire to avoid fear (whether it's fear of rejection or of disapproval, of success or of failure) is what keeps most of us in the Not to Lose game - and in low-paying jobs. Successful High Earners, on the other hand, play the game Larry Wilson calls To Win." ...
"To six-figure women, losses are as inevitable as ants at a picnic. And they don't let those losses ruin their plans. They focus on winning and not on defeat. Oddly enough, the object of the game is not winning per se. The whole point is to do your best and go the distance. "To win," Larry Wilson explained, "you go as far as you can using all that you've got."
The real beauty of the game To Win is that you can begin playing anytime, ready or not. You don't need all the pieces in place or your route all mapped out. You don't need extensive training or formal education. In fact, you don't need to know much at all. You just need to get out and do something, anything. ...
In the game To Win, it is perfectly OK, and highly encouraged, to shoot for the moon, to aim for the "unreasonable."...
It doesn't matter how much you know, it only matters that you're willing to learn.
... Unless you have a profit motive, all your hard work may never pay off.
However, when you play by the rule of persistence, and you're playing with an intent to make money, hard work eventually bears fruit.
This opportunity rule puts success within reach of all of us, even when all the odds are stacked against us.
Much of the six-figure game is played in our heads. We can only go as far as our beliefs will allow.
They come to test our level of commitment. If you notice, the more tentative you feel, the more pessimistic they sound.
Among the high earners I met, there wasn't one who hadn't encountered her share of naysayers.
Thick skin isn't normally considered a female trait. Every woman I interviewed developed this rule the same way a baby learns to avoid a hot stove, through repeated experiences.
To overcome the negative is to focus on a higher purpose instead of immediate gratification. Passion and purpose are powerful motivators."
Let's all digest The Winning Game Rules. Last week was a wake up call for many. The rubber meets the road for those that have profit motive intentions. This is an exciting time to empower ourselves with positive, forward moving determination. Let's have the gusto to go for it!

Leading Starts With Your Daily Agenda
"The secret of our success is found in our daily agenda."
("Leadership 101", John C Maxwell)
("Leadership 101", John C Maxwell)
Developing good leadership qualities takes time. Letting these qualities compound over time inevitably result in growth in your organization. Here's a few quotes and interesting information to ponder as you move your own group forward.
Successful leaders are learners. And the learning process is ongoing, a result of self-discipline and perseverance. ~John C. Maxwell
You can only take your group as far as you are . . . For your group to go further, YOU must go further.
The first person you lead is YOU.
Have the power of self-discipline. Challenge your excuses.
The discipline to prioritize and the ability to work toward a stated goal are essential to a leader's success.
And now for the 80/20 Pareto Principle:
Time 20 percent of our time produces 80 percent of the results.
Counseling 20 percent of the people take up 80 percent of our time.
Products 20 percent of the products bring in 80 percent of the profit.
Reading 20 percent of the book contains 80 percent of the contents.
Job 20 percent of our work gives us 80 percent of the satisfaction.
Speech 20 percent of the presentation produces 80 percent of the impact.
Donations 20 percent of the people will give 80 percent of the money.
Leadership 20 percent of the people will make 80 percent of the decisions.
In an organization, 20 percent of the people will be responsible for 80 percent of the companies success.
1. Determine which people are the top 20 percent producers.
2. Spend 80 percent of your "people time" with the top 20 percent.
3. Spend 80 percent of your personal development dollars on the top 20 percent.
We teach what we know, we reproduce what we are. Find the people in your organization like yourself, lead them to more profits through your own example of self-discipline and initiative. Work with them, teach them what you do and what you know. Lead by example, with trust and integrity. Prioritize your daily agenda.
Lead where you want your group to go.

Silent Moment
Great things begin
with a single moment
and a little nurture.
with a single moment
and a little nurture.
Beginning the process of building a business starts with the single moment of making a decision to do so. That decision is the start of many great things to come, if one nurtures the proper tasks. In our business we simply bring people together to share information about a product that is helping many, including our own families.
Together_We_Build is a group nurturing each other, in order to provide support as we go and do the same thing with our own customers and downline. We know greats things begin with a single moment. A moment of making a decision to be great.

Personal Development Involves Learning Skills
The group, Together We Build, share insights into building our individual businesses, and also help in developing skill to do the same. Currently, we are working a program generated to increase productivity within a group of highly motivated leaders. While we are on our first of six weeks for the SMART (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, Timely) Tracking program I wanted to share closing techniques that might help seal the deal for you accomplishing your sign up goals. These techniques are simple and easy to use. Even though we are just collecting decisions after we have presented the information, it is always good to know (and read) what the person you are talking to is saying to you. Sometimes they will not be as straight forward as you would like them to be and you may have to assume they are closing a deal for you.
Here are a few pointers, taken from the book "The Art of Closing" by Brian Tracy. It's a great book with fantastic insights.
- (pg. 13) Ask Good Questions and Listen Carefully
The very best way to express and practice empathy with a customer, or with anyone else, is to ask questions and listen intently to the answers. Dominate the listening, rather than the talking. As Stephen covey says, "Seek first to understand, then to be understood." The more time you invest in understanding your customer's situation, the more empathy you will naturally have for him or her and the more probably it is that you will make the sale in the end.
- (pg. 14) The highest-paid salespeople realize that every bit of success that they aspire to must by paid in full, in advance. There is no such thing as something for nothing, no fast, easy way to be successful.
-(pg. 18) A national trade organization to which I (Brian Tracy) belong commissioned a study to find out why customers bought from one person or company and not from another, even though the products were similar. After investing $50,000 interviewing customers, they arrived at a simple conclusion: people bought from one person over another because they trusted that person more. The word trust was defined as "feeling the salesperson would follow through on his commitments and fulfill his promises." ...
It is crucial that you never say your product will do anything that it will not do. Never make false claims. Never even exaggerate. In fact, one of the most helpful things you can do to establish your credibility is to point out where your product is weak in comparison with that of your competitors.
Together We Build is a group formed to network in a positive, trustworthy way. We pride ourselves in coming together in service, while making money. Together we build each other up and at the same time, help each other develop skills. We are moving forward, with goals set, in order to accomplish the play by play action needed to reach our desired results.

Finding The Passion
This is a big week for a couple of people on Together_We_Build Team. Karen and Danny are both parents with autistic children whose lives have been effected in a positive way by our product. By sharing their stories they will be able to help others who will listen. Having a caring heart, a passionate spirit and wanting to help others takes owning this business to a whole new level of commitment when you have a story like Karen and Danny. We are proud of their commitment. Together we lift each other, and for them, they are lifting others, by sharing their experiences.

Having Fun, Being Creative, And Earning Income
Having fun while working this business is absolutely one of the best things about this business. Even though the 'bottom line' is to make money, we on Together_We_Build group like to have fun along the way. Recently, we read the book "It's Your Ship" by Captain Michael Abrashoff and applied his management techniques to our own business. While doing so we incorporated a Daily Reveille into our business. This kept our focus on the daily tasks that needed to be done in order to generate business in the future.
During this Boot Camp we developed OPERATION RISING TIDE. John F. Kennedy once quoted, "A rising tide lifts all boats". Working our individual businesses, we pressed on with purpose and focus, while supporting each other. Together_We_Build is a group of leaders helping each other as a network to earn income for our families. Those that participate experience growth in their business.
Being creative helps to generate enthusiasm within the group, lifting all our spirits. Our business is simple. Keeping focus is essential. Building confidence by knowing what to do daily helps us grow with speed. Together we are building a premier business for residual income. Trust and Integrity is the foundation of our working relationships, and it is the principle for which we focus our experiences.

Heart and Spirit
"Those who have heart have hope. Those who have hope have everything."
~David Armistead
This is a business of hope. Hope in finding others that want to help people in their health and finances; hope while knowing that some of the pay out comes down the road and hope in finding support through the ups and downs while the business grows. When you work with people that have heart the hope comes naturally.
Together_We_Build group is leaders helping leaders grow. We have heart, we have hope, and we have spirit. Sharing business ideas and information we save time and energy while earning income for our families. This is a business not of one individual, but of many. And together our spirit of hope gives us everything to grow a substantial residual income for our future.

An Unlived Life
Finding a business to be passionate about is an extraordinary experience. Knowing that touching one persons life can lead to helping the lives of many is so worth being passionate about. To be able to live life with passion is taking each moment and trying to make it the most that it can be. An 'unlived' life is a life full of would haves, could haves and should haves. The nice thing about being involved with a group that is passionate about the product and the company they promote is that unlike the 'unlived' life, it is a life full of "I am", "I will" and "I can". At the end of the day I know I have somewhere, at sometime, helped someone.
Leaders helping leaders grow, personally and financially, is what sets us apart. Together_We_Build is a group of leaders that are coming together and saying I DID!
Accomplishing the small successes are big enough to celebrate, and we are CELEBRATING; not an 'unlived' life, but a life living!

Information Overload
There is such a wealth of information at our fingertips. We live in an information age, filled with fascinating facts and wonderful information; so much so, that at times it's overwhelming. By working together we help to reduce the overwhelming amount of information presented to us daily by filtering through all of it for each other. This is just one way we work together.
Together_We_Build is a group of business professionals dedicated to building their business with trust, integrity and professionalism. This group of leaders are building relationships that network together in order to produce greater profits at a faster speed. The business opportunity is there for those that want to build towards financial freedom. But not just build towards it, but beyond it.

Focus On Positive Values; The Rest Will Follow
While building our business with core values of trust and integrity we lay a solid foundation for growth. Together_We_Build group keeps focused on the fundamentals and then duplicates the simple tasks. This isn't just talk, it's action. Action to do the right thing. This is a people business and developing relationships is part of the fun.
Coming together to help each other is what makes us strong. We share ideas, encourage each others development, and build each other up to be more than we would be on our own. Learning how to leverage our strengths and minimizing our weaknesses brings people together in a positive way. We stay focused on the positive values, helping each other. When doing this, the growth of the company is inevitable.

Find A Mentor, Be A Mentor
We all need a mentor sometime or another, especially when starting out in a new adventure or a new business. It's good to look for someone you admire and respect. Find a mentor that you connect with the values to which that person conducts their business. Don't be afraid to reach out and gain the wisdom of a more experienced person. Ask them for their time so the two of you can share. Truly successful people are happy to share information to guide others to success.
A mentor is not someone that manages your progress, or keeps an eye on you every-step-of-the-way, but is someone that is there for you when you need a helping hand or advise. A mentor is a tool in your bag of tools to help guide you through obstacles and share information that might help you accomplish your goals more quickly. You don't have to have just one mentor; take the opportunity to learn from several people you trust.
What a great way to know that you are growing and becoming a leader than by realizing that you are a mentor for someone. When you do become that leader, respect the position, be thankful for the opportunity to help others in building their business and for being able to pass on the basic principles of giving knowledge and information. In this giving there will be rewards.
With our business, duplication is the key to building for the longterm. Finding a mentor as you grow, than becoming one yourself' helps to continue the basic business strategy of duplication. Build a relationship with someone you admire, then find someone to pass the knowledge and information to . . . with that concept, you will build your business with a strong foundation, helping others to do the same.
Together_We_Build is a group of successful business leaders able to help others duplicate a business model built on strong principles. We see the potential in others and do what we can to go the extra mile in helping others reach their potential. We respect the privilege of helping others.
Seek out a mentor - be a mentor yourself.

Don't Settle For Less
Many times we get into the habit of settling for less than we know we are capable of. Why is this? Perhaps it is because we get into a comfort zone. We accept where we are even when it's not where we want to be. By taking personal responsibility we can lift ourselves from that place. It may require a bit of a nudge, or more discipline than we are use to, but, boy, does it feel great when we break out of that mindset.
A good way to start lifting ourselves from the comfort zone is by setting a realistic goal. Break that goal into smaller steps that can be accomplished more easily. One by one, the steps you take will move you out of that comfort zone. There is no reason to settle for less. You are worthy of all that you desire.
Many times it's easier to move from that place of 'settling for less' when you have people that genuinely care about you. Together_We_Build group helps to build you up and help you grow. We are growing our business together with encouraging hearts, intelligent minds, and giving spirits; building with trust and integrity. Decide you want more. Trust that you don't have to settle for less than you are capable of. Team up with like minded individuals, and break away from 'settling for less'. You can, you know.

POTENTIALITY
Princes and Kings
by R.L. Sharpe
Isn't it strange
That Princes and Kings
And clowns that caper in stardust rings
And common people
Like you and me
Are builders for eternity.
To each is given a bag of tools
A shapelss mass and a book of rules,
And each must build
'Ere life is flown
A stumbling block
Or a stepping stone.
Keep building towards your Definite Major Purpose. Read your goals each day. Use your bag of tools. Commit to building your stepping stone. Nurture as you build.
Together_We_Build is a group of business builders eager to share a simple system of duplicating their business for greater profits with those that choose to become business partners. We build with integrity, trust and foresight. In having a strong FUTURE VISION we are prepared to go above and beyond in commitment, dedication and intesity of focus.

Simplicity, Self-Confidence, Speed
The pursuit of greater profits is an exciting idea for each of us. Keeping this business simple will build self-confidence no matter what your experience level. A person with self-confidence will take initiative, without it, will not. It only makes sense to help build self-confidence within your group by keeping the daily tasks basic, and by encouraging each other to do the same.
How do we build self-confidence? Self-confidence is built by having success. Of course, there will be occasional failures along the road, but by creating opportunities for ourselves we overcome the failures and stay focused on our goals. Keeping the tasks simple makes it easier to create opportunities in order to have success. In these successes comes self-awareness, leading to self-confidence, and with that, comes SPEED, or momentum.
We have the opportunity to create a business with tremendous simplicity, empowering women and men to be more self-confident while pursuing greater profits. Together_We_Build is a group committed to helping people gain that self-confidence by being resourceful and trustworthy. The professionalism within the group is what sets us apart. We strive to provide strength in our business with core positive values, providing a strong foundation to build upon.
So remember. . .

Trust: The First Ingredient
The ingredients for a successful business in our profession are pretty simple, but sometimes can be confusing because they are so basic. This after all, is simply marketing. How is it best to market yourself and market your product? By building TRUST.
Trust can be built by being resourceful, dependable, respectable, thoughtful in our actions, and empathetic to the needs of others. Not everyone wants to be a 'salesperson' but to market ourselves is something we do every day. By presenting ourselves with respect we build trust with others. This trusting relationship gives us the opportunity to present our product and our company.
I like to work from the advantage point of being an enthusiastic adviser building trust to help others. As I do, I remember this is not about 'me' it's about helping others with their needs. Only by listening can I know how I can help them. And by listening, I build this important ingredient in any successful business, trust.
Together_We_Build group understands the importance of such trust and respect for each other and each individual team. Helping each other in knowledge, skills and support builds a solid business. By helping others, we help ourselves. Recognizing it's the simple things that moves our business forward is recognizing that anyone can do this business, simply by building trust with others.

Value of Achievement
What if you could create a company where achievement was valued? What if you could create your own company, have positive people pursuing dreams by encouraging each other, and together celebrate small successes while building momentum to produce more income? Together_We_Build group creates a culture for Value of Achievement. This culture recognizes that each small step is necessary to move forward. The positive momentum created by this culture leads to bigger successes down the road.
By not waiting, but consistently working the strategy designed in order to help you accomplish your goals, you lift yourself and everyone in the group. When a team of people work together, pursuing each their own dreams, while helping others to do the same, it is empowering. When this is duplicated, it is life changing.
A business culture where achievement is valued surely is a culture where SUCCESS BREEDS SUCCESS. I encourage those I build with to have focus and determination, to be resourceful, to build a business in a positive way, and in doing so, create a strong foundation. Celebrate the small successes! Encourage a culture that positively values achievement.

Be Resourceful
Learning new ideas and information can be the fuel to move your business forward. It can also be what sets you apart from others in the industry. Taking responsibility for that knowledge comes down to just one person . . . YOU. We all know it's not whether you know the answer but rather, do you know how to find the answer. Be RESOURCEFUL. Gain trust by sharing information to others. Don't be afraid to say, "I don't know" but add that extra phrase, "I'll help you find out."
Being resourceful can not only fuel your business, it can empower you with self-confidence. Having self-confidence can open up a world of possibilities. The group of individuals I partner with are excited about learning, enthusiastic about sharing and recognize that the business they are growing completely comes from their own efforts. Together_We_Build provides the opportunity to be responsible, to be dependable, and to be RESOURCEFUL.

On the Plains of Hesitation
"On the Plains of Hesitation bleach the bones of countless millions, who, at the Dawn of Victory, sat down to wait, and waiting - died!" ~George W. Cecil
The great part of being associated with a group of positive individuals striving to build a business is that when one sits down 'to wait' another team member comes along to help that individual up and keep that person focused on moving ahead. There are times when sitting to catch our breath and to enjoy the moment are just what we need, but to stay there, in that Waiting Place, can be detrimental to our business. By waiting, we may be letting others determine the pace of our own success.
It is important to have the FUTURE VISION for your goals and to recognize that we are accountable first, and foremost, to ourselves and to our families. Read your goals, keep them in the forefront of your mind. Knowing your goals and your plan to accomplish them will help to keep you on your journey. They will keep you from staying too long on the side of the road. By doing so you will be able to encourage and help others off the side of the road. Together_We_Build group helps keep you off the side of the road.
Have the vision for yourself. Match the vision with your goals, your goals with your strategy. Contribute by developing a culture of respect and productivity. Dust yourself off, today is your day! At the Dawn of Victory we will not die, but will succeed.

You won't catch me in the Waiting Place!
"With banner flip-flapping,
once more you'll ride high!
Ready for anything under the sky.
Ready because you're that kind of a guy!"
~Dr. Seuss
"Today IS your day! Your mountain is waiting.
So . . . get on your way!"
once more you'll ride high!
Ready for anything under the sky.
Ready because you're that kind of a guy!"
~Dr. Seuss
What a great opportunity the Together_We_Build group had last night to hear Joe Morton talk about the Waiting Place. We have before us the opportunity to help people with their health, and with their finances. We have the chance to affect the lives of thousands, by simply sharing. It is O.K. to dream. This is the time to not sit by the side of the road. We have a chance to do something, be something, and build something. Why wait? Today is your day.
Set your goals, determine your game plan to accomplish them. Whatever you decide to do, consistency is key. Move forward in a positive way, helping others. Share with integrity, with professionalism; above and beyond even your own expectations. Together_We_Build.

One of the best things about working in my business has been the people I've met. This may be even the biggest surprise that I did not expect when starting in this industry. Together we are able to encourage, support, build, and share ideas and skills. That is why I started the Together_We_Build group. The FOCUS of our group is to build with integrity, moving forward in a positive way. Teaching skills, staying on task, and helping others is a key ingredient to building in a professional manner.
Each of us can empower ourselves financially by the choices we make today. We also are helping other men and women to empower themselves in building their own business, so that they too, have choices in their lives as they continue to build in this industry.
We are off to great places! We are building in a professional manner, doing the simple tasks of sharing our story to those that will listen. We are on our way up! We're seeing great sights! We are the high fliers who soar to high heights. And will we succeed? (It's 98 and 3/4 percent guaranteed.) We are learning and climbing, each our own mountain. And as we do, we know there are others that support us, too.
Tonight we will soar with high flier, Joe Morton as he talks about Oh! The Places You'll Go! We're off to great places, and TODAY IS OUR DAY!
